Astha Kapoor is the Co-founder and Director of Aapti Institute, a Bangalore based research firm that works on the intersection of technology and society. She has 15 years of public policy and strategy consulting experience, with a focus on use of technology for welfare. Astha works on participative governance of data, and digital public infrastructure. Astha was a member of World Economic Forum Global Future Council on data equity (2023-24), visiting fellow at the Ostrom Workshop (Indiana University). She was also a member of the Think20 task force on digital public infrastructure during India’s and Brazil’s G20 presidency and currently serves on the board of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Data.
Helani Galpaya is CEO of LIRNEasia, a pro-poor, pro-market think tank working on digital policy and regulatory challenges across the Asia Pacific. She is all the Principal Investigator of the of the Responsible AI for Development Observatory for Asia, funded by the International Development Research Center, Canada and the Department for International Development, United Kingdom.
Helani researchers and engages I public discourse on topics related to meaningful digital access and digitalisation, the future of labor and work, the governance of platforms, data and algorithms across Asia. She serves on multiple international and regional advisory boards related to the digital economy.
Anirudh Suri is the author of The Great Tech Game: Shaping Geopolitics and the Destinies of Nations, and host of The Great Tech Game Podcast. He is the managing partner at India Internet Fund, a U.S and India-based venture capital fund focused on strategic technologies. He also serves as a scholar with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where his research focuses on technology, artificial intelligence and geopolitics. He has also written extensively and been quoted in publications such as The Financial Times, the Economist, Washington Post, CNBC, Indian Express, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Foreign Policy, The Economic Times, The Week and LiveMint.
Previously, he has worked with the Government of India in New Delhi, McKinsey and Company in New York, Goldman Sachs in London, the Carnegie Endowment in Washington DC, and China Institute of International Studies in Beijing. He completed his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, his MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Haverford College, Pennsylvania. Named a Goldman Sachs Global Leader, he has also served on the Board of the Harvard Alumni Association.
