AMU Dental Student Receives ICMR-DHR Support for MDS Thesis Research – India Education | Latest Education News | Global Educational News


ALIGARH, September 16: Dr. Manish Kumar Singh, postgraduate student in the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College and Hospital, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has secured financial support for his MDS thesis research under the MD/MS/DM/MCh/DNB/DNB/MDS Thesis Support Programme – Batch 2026 of the Department of Health Research (DHR), ICMR, Government of India.

His research proposal, titled “A Comparative Evaluation of Three-Dimensional Printed Resin Crowns and Prefabricated Zirconia Crowns for Primary Mandibular Molars: A Randomized Controlled Trial”, was selected under the programme.

The recognition adds to Dr. Singh’s earlier academic achievement, with his research proposal also having been selected for the CEDEES Research & Academic Development Council (CRADC) Scholarship Grant.

The research is being carried out under the guidance of Prof. Saima Yunus Khan, Chairperson, Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry.
