ALIGARH, October 9: The Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), felicitated 23 research scholars and students who qualified the UGC-NET and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency in December 2025 and June 2026. The ceremony was held on October 3 during the Swachh Bharat Diwas programme.
Among the Ph.D. scholars, Inam Fatima Zaidi, Jafar Beg, Arshi Lareb, Neha Ansari and Fatima Shabeeh Shaheen qualified for JRF, while Areeba Qaseem, Mahak Fayaz, Sana Bee, Shadma Bi, M. Zaid Saifi, Zubair Khan, Mir Bashir Ahmad and Mehrosh Aftab qualified UGC-NET.
Among M.A. (Education) students, Atiya Fatima and Mehvesh Khanam qualified UGC-NET. Eight M.Ed. students—Shaikh Maryam Aijaz, Yusuf Ansari, Meraj Ahmed, Sabeel Ahmed, Shahreen Jawaid, Abeer Fatima, Naseem Ahmed and Wasey Hasan—also qualified the examination.
Prof. Nakhat Nasreen, Chairperson, Department of Education, congratulated the successful candidates and appreciated their dedication to academic excellence and research. She also acknowledged the faculty members’ role in providing academic guidance and fostering a supportive learning environment.
She appreciated the efforts of IQAC team members Dr Noora Abdul Kader and Dr Razia B. in compiling the details of the successful candidates and coordinating the event. She expressed hope that the recognition would inspire other students and research scholars to pursue higher academic and research goals.
Mr Rizwan Ur Rehman, Secretary, Habib-ur-Rehman Trust, and Wing Commander Sufiyan Khan also congratulated the successful candidates and extended their best wishes.
