AMU Department of Paediatrics Organises Guest Lecture on Paediatric Epilepsies – India Education | Latest Education News | Global Educational News


ALIGARH, October 8: The Department of Paediatrics, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised a guest lecture on “Pediatric Epilepsies,” which was delivered by Dr Rajeeva Kumar Singh, Consultant Paediatrician in Epilepsy and Neurodisability, Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Teaching NHS Trust, UK.

He discussed contemporary approaches to paediatric epilepsies, focusing on the clinical recognition and evaluation of seizures in children, classification of epilepsies, diagnostic approaches and principles of management.

The session provided faculty members and postgraduate students an opportunity to benefit from Dr Singh’s clinical and academic experience in paediatric epilepsy and neurodisability. The interactive lecture also offered insights into evolving concepts in the diagnosis and management of paediatric epilepsy.

The programme was held under the guidance of Prof Mohammad Khalid, Dean, Faculty of Medicine; Prof Anjum Parvez, Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent, JNMC; and Prof Shaad Abqari, Chairman, Department of Paediatrics.

The lecture was part of the Department’s ongoing academic initiatives to strengthen postgraduate teaching, promote continuing medical education and facilitate interaction with experts in specialised areas of paediatric medicine.
