ALIGARH, September 19: Aditi Agarwal, Research Scholar, Department of Industrial Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been selected for the prestigious Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) LOTUS Programme for a one-year research exchange at Tohoku University, Japan.
The LOTUS Programme promotes India-Japan research collaboration by supporting talented Indian researchers for research exchanges in Japan. During her research stay, Ms. Agarwal will work with Prof. Hiroya Abe on microbial fuel cells (MFCs) for developing electrochemical biosensors for health monitoring and sustainable energy technologies.
Agarwal is pursuing her Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Zain Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Industrial Chemistry, who will serve as the Indian Principal Investigator for the collaboration. Her current research focuses on electrochemical sensors for point-of-care diagnosis, particularly the early detection and monitoring of neurological disorders.
