New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) has been organising the ‘Nadi Utsav’ annually for the past few years. Continuing this tradition, IGNCA is organising the 7th Nadi Utsav from 24 to 26 September. To share details of this important programme, a Press Conference is being organised on Monday, 21 September at 12:00 Noon at the Umang Conference Hall. It gives us immense pleasure to cordially invite you to the Press Conference.
The Press Conference will be addressed by Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, IGNCA. Shri Anurag Punetha, Controller, Media Centre, and Shri Abhay Mishra, Convenor, Nadi Utsav, will also be present on the occasion. This year’s festival focuses on the Yamuna River. The festival will explore the Yamuna not only as a life-giving river, but also as a living stream of memories, culture, history and imagination. The Press Conference will present the vision of the festival and an overview of its programmes, with the Yamuna at its centre.
The Yamuna is not merely a river, but also carries a living cultural identity whose significance extends far beyond its physical flow, carrying memories, traditions and shared histories across generations.
We would also be pleased to have an informal interaction with you over lunch following the Press Conference on river culture and the social, economic and historical dimensions of rivers. Your insights and perspectives would enrich the experience of the festival. We look forward to your presence at the Press Conference organised on the occasion of this important programme. Your presence will add to our enthusiasm.
