The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the probable dates for the 2027 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

The Class 12 HSC written examinations will be conducted from February 8 to March 16, 2027, while the Class 10 SSC examinations will take place from February 15 to March 11, 2027.

The board announced the schedule in a press note on Thursday, September 17, giving schools, junior colleges and students time to plan their academic preparation.

Students should note that practical, graded, oral and internal evaluation will be conducted before the written examinations.

NINE DIVISIONAL BOARDS TO CONDUCT EXAMS

The examinations will be conducted through Maharashtra’s nine divisional boards — Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan.

The board said the dates have been announced in advance to help schools and junior colleges plan their curriculum and to reduce exam-related stress among students.

However, these are probable dates. The detailed subject-wise timetable will be released separately.

The final schedule will include dates for written examinations as well as practical, oral, graded and internal assessments. Students should rely on the official timetable once it is published on the Maharashtra board’s website.

WHAT STUDENTS SHOULD DO NOW

With the broad examination window now available, students can begin planning their revision and leave time for practical and internal assessments.

Schools and junior colleges can also use the dates to organise teaching and complete the required internal evaluation before the written papers begin.

The board is expected to publish the detailed subject-wise timetable separately.
