The first cluster of the Summer Placement Process for the PGP class of 2028 was held on 23 October 2026 at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The firms that participated in Cluster 1 comprised six cohorts – advisory consulting; cards & financial advisory; investment banking & markets; management consulting; PE/VC, asset management & hedge funds; transformation & operations consulting.
The placement process was conducted in a hybrid format, enabling recruiters to participate through both online and in-person modes.
The cluster featured a diverse set of recruiters, with over 85 roles offered during the process. The consulting cohort included firms such as Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, EY-Parthenon, Kearney, Kepler Cannon, L.E.K. Consulting, McKinsey & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy&, Vector Consulting Group and YCP India, among others.
The investment banking & markets cohort featured Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Moelis & Co, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered Bank and The Raine Group, among others. The PE/VC cohort featured Ares Management, Aquilon Capital, Catamaran, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management and Blackstone, among others. The Cards and Financial Advisory cohort saw participation from American Express, Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting, among others.
We also witnessed multiple international opportunities like EY-Parthenon Singapore, Goldman Sachs Hong Kong, and HSBC Hong Kong.
Cluster 2 and 3 will be held on 27 and 30 October respectively.
