Ranji Trophy 2026-27 – Mohammed Siraj to lead Hyderabad in first two matches


In the absence or unavailability of Siraj, Milind will assume the role of captain, the Hyderabad Cricket Association said in a media release.

The squad also includes experienced batter Tanmay Agarwal, Rahul Singh and wicketkeepers Rahul Radesh and Sai Pragnay Reddy. Tanay Thyagarajan, Aniketh Reddy and Ajay Dev Goud are among the other players named in the 15-member squad.

Siraj is part of India’s ODI squad for the three-match series against West Indies that will conclude on October 3 in New Chandigarh.

Hyderabad’s first Ranji Trophy match is on October 11 against Tripura with the venue yet to be decided. They will next play Andhra in Vizianagaram from October 18.

While India’s New Zealand tour starts on October 22, it will kick off with T20Is, a format Siraj last played for India in February.
