Bangladesh have included uncapped Disha Biswas and Habiba Islam Pinky in their 16-member squad for their historic first bilateral ODI series in Australia.
Disha, a former Bangladesh Under-19 captain, is yet to make her senior debut, while Habiba has one T20I cap to her name, earned against India in May 2024.
Alongside the two uncapped players, Murshida Khatun, Sanjida Akter Meghla and Dilara Akter have returned to the squad. Murshida last played for Bangladesh during their tour of the West Indies in January 2025 and recently featured for the Emerging team in South Africa. Sanjida has two ODI caps, while Dilara has played three, most recently in the Women’s World Cup Qualifier in Pakistan in April 2025.
Nigar Sultana Joty will continue to lead the side, with Nahida Akter as her deputy. The three-match series begins on October 9, with all games scheduled at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
The pace options in the squad are Marufa Akter, Ritu Moni, Disha and Habiba.
Juairiya Ferdous, Sumaiya Akter, Fahima Khatun and Fariha Islam have been left out of the squad.
Bangladesh will leave for Australia on October 3. The three ODIs will be played on October 9, 11 and 14.
