ALIGARH, October 13: Dr. Asif Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has successfully completed a six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Mathematical Foundations for AI/ML/PINNs with Real-World Applications” organised by the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He was awarded an A+ grade in the programme.
The programme focused on the mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence, machine learning and neural network-based computational techniques, highlighting their applications in scientific and engineering problems.
Dr. Khan’s research interests include approximation theory and neural network approximation. He has recently published research papers on neural network approximation in Q1 journals indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) and has guided eight Ph.D. scholars, including one working on approximation by neural network operators.
Prof. Asma Ali, Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, congratulated Dr. Khan on successfully completing the programme and achieving the A+ grade.
