AMU’s Nanotechnology Centre Organises Plantation Drive under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ – India Education | Latest Education News | Global Educational News


ALIGARH, September 16: The Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre (INC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised a plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, with faculty members, research scholars, students and non-teaching staff joining the initiative to promote environmental responsibility and strengthen the green cover on the University campus.

Prof. Mohammad Azhar Aziz emphasised the importance of collective efforts to protect the environment and maintain a greener campus. He also stressed the need for proper care of the planted saplings and thanked Prof. Anwar Shahzad, Member In-Charge, Land and Gardens, for providing the saplings and supporting the initiative.

The drive was organised by Dr. Swaleha Naseem and Dr. Kaseed Anwar, Assistant Professors, Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre. Faculty members, research scholars, M.Tech. and Advanced PG Diploma students and non-teaching staff participated in the drive. Ornamental, fruit-bearing and shade-providing saplings were planted at designated locations in and around the Centre. Master’s students, PhD scholars, non-teaching staff and Gardener Mr. Javed also planted saplings.
