Bangladesh suffered another setback following their eight-wicket defeat to Australia in the third and final WODI in Brisbane on Wednesday, slipping two places to ninth in the latest ICC Women’s ODI rankings.
Bangladesh were ranked seventh with 73 rating points before the start of the three-match series.
Pakistan also had 73 points but were placed below Bangladesh by a narrow margin, while the West Indies sat ninth with 72 points.
However, following a 3-0 series whitewash in Australia, Bangladesh lost one rating point and dropped to ninth. Pakistan moved up one place to seventh with 73 points, while the West Indies climbed to eighth with same 72 points as Bangladesh.
Australia, meanwhile, gained one rating point after completing the clean sweep in Brisbane. The reigning powerhouses now sit comfortably at the top of the rankings with 164 points, well clear of second-placed England, who have 126.
