Bangladesh will play Afghanistan in a one-off Test in Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium from October 9, the key fixture of their 24-day tour of the UAE that also includes a three-team ODI series with Zimbabwe.
The Bangladesh squad will arrive in the UAE in two groups. The first will land on October 1 and train in Dubai on October 2 and 3, before a two-day warm-up fixture against UAE on October 4 and 5. The second group will arrive from Japan on October 6, the same day the full squad moves to Abu Dhabi. Two more practice days on October 7 and 8 will lead into the Test.
After a three-day break, the tour shifts to white-ball cricket. Bangladesh open the tri-series against Zimbabwe on October 17 in Abu Dhabi, and Afghanistan meet Zimbabwe at the same venue two days later. The series will then moves to Sharjah, where Afghanistan and Bangladesh face off on October 21 before the final on October 23. All four ODIs are day-night fixtures.
Each side will play twice in the league stage, so Bangladesh will play three ODIs if they reach the final.
