New Delhi, 12th October 2026: REHAU’s RAUVISIO riviera has been recognised among the Top 25 Designs at the 16th CII Design Excellence Awards 2026, receiving the distinction in the Product Design category. Presented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with the World Design Organization (WDO) as a supporting organisation, the recognition acknowledges RAUVISIO riviera as a High Performance Decorative Surface designed by REHAU Interior Solutions.
The recognition places RAUVISIO riviera among the select designs chosen through this year’s CII Design Excellence Awards. With 450 entries received for the 2026 edition, the evaluation involved a jury round followed by a Grand Jury process, with the final selection narrowing the field to around 80–90 recognised entries across categories. RAUVISIO riviera has secured its place among the Top 25 designs in Product Design, alongside a select group of established names from across industries.
RAUVISIO riviera brings together the visual appeal of premium decorative surfaces with the engineering required for contemporary furniture and interior applications. Available in both high-gloss and super-matt finishes, the surface has been developed to deliver depth, colour richness and a refined appearance across furniture fronts and other interior surfaces. Its design collection comprises 18 shades, giving architects and designers scope to work across a broad palette of contemporary interiors.
The product’s performance is closely linked to its material construction. RAUVISIO riviera uses a co-extruded PMMA and ABS structure, supporting colour retention and visual consistency over time. REHAU also specifies the surface for resistance against scratches, moisture, chemicals and UV exposure, alongside easy cleaning and maintenance. The material can be processed using standard woodworking tools, allowing it to move from design intent to finished furniture without requiring specialised fabrication methods.
For REHAU, the milestone is particularly significant because RAUVISIO riviera represents the company’s broader approach to decorative surfaces, where aesthetics and material engineering are developed together. The surface is intended for applications ranging from residential cabinetry and kitchens to bathroom vanities, wall panels, offices and commercial spaces, giving designers a combination of visual flexibility and everyday performance.
