Six individual centuries is the most on a single day in ODIs. There have been six previous cases of five, most recently on October 10 in 2023, during the last 50-over World Cup – hundreds by Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan for Pakistan, and Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama for Sri Lanka in a high-scoring match in Hyderabad, and Dawid Malan for England against Bangladesh in Dharamsala. It also happened on September 3 in 2013, January 23 in 2015, October 5 in 2016, March 6 in 2018, and July 6 in 2019 (during the World Cup in England).

Somerset’s Tom Abell took his overnight 284 in the County Championship match against Surrey in Taunton to 307 on the morning of September 27, the last day of the season. You’re right that it is the latest anyone has completed a triple-century in an English first-class season: the previous-latest was by Hampshire’s John Crawley in 2005, when he reached 311 not out against Nottinghamshire in Southampton on September 22. Crawley obviously enjoyed playing against Nottinghamshire: the previous summer he’d scored 301 not out against them at Trent Bridge (but that was in July).
