Aligarh, September 21: Fourteen students of the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University, have qualified the CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in June 2026. Of the successful candidates, seven students have qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while the remaining seven have qualified for NET.
The students who qualified for JRF include Md. Adil Khan (AIR 24), Aamina Saghir (AIR 35), Mohd. Atif (AIR 37), Shailesh Singh Chaudhary (AIR 42), Mohd Ibrahim Saifi (AIR 46), Alisha Zaheer (AIR 53) and Mumtaj Khan (AIR 54).
The seven students who qualified for NET are Hifsa Aafreen (AIR 3), Misbah Khan (AIR 15), Lazeena Ali (AIR 33), Mohd. Azeem (AIR 55), Shadab Hussain (AIR 69), Farrukh Hasan (AIR 90) and Farhan Akhter (AIR 116).
Prof. Rashid Umar, Chairperson of the Department said that the impressive All India Ranks secured by several students reflect their strong performance in the highly competitive national examination. He attributed the achievement to the students’ hard work and dedication, along with the guidance and support provided by the faculty members of the Department of Geology.
