AMU Professor Highlights Self-Awareness and Positive Coping at Bibi Fatima Hall – India Education | Latest Education News | Global Educational News


ALIGARH, October 8: Prof. S.M. Khan, Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), delivered an interactive talk, “Mapping the Self Under Pressure: Who Am I?”, at Bibi Fatima Girls Residential Hall.

Organised by Prof. Sharmin Khan, Provost, Bibi Fatima Hall, the session focused on self-awareness, understanding pressure, emotional responses, personal values, coping with adversity and making constructive choices.

Through reflective exercises, role plays and real-life examples, Prof. Khan encouraged residents and wardens to understand their thoughts and emotions, pause before reacting and make choices aligned with their values. He also highlighted the importance of empathy, resilience, feedback, self-confidence and conscious personal growth.
