Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, set new benchmarks in the crime thriller genre and became a big hit at the box office. Yes, domestically, it was expected to enter the 400- or 500-crore net collections club, but that didn’t happen. It wasn’t a leggy affair like its predecessor, Drishyam 2, but still, it emerged as Ajay’s top grosser. Now, even on BookMyShow (BMS), it has left a strong impression by selling over 6.5 million tickets.
The Bollywood crime thriller kicked off its Indian box office run on a high note, scoring 62 crore net and kept raking in good numbers going forward. Yesterday, it finished its 5th-week run by amassing a total of 379.65 crore net. With Ramayana witnessing a grand release, the film has almost ended its run and won’t earn significantly in the remaining days. Even on BookMyShow, it has officially wrapped up, as it won’t be seen in the per-hour trending.
