Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027 Released: A new set of global university rankings is out, and the biggest headline isn’t just who’s on top, it is a shift that’s never happened before. For the first time, Asian universities have moved ahead of continental Europe in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
The University of Oxford has once again been named the best university in the world. This is Oxford’s 11th year in a row holding the no. 1 spot and this shows just how hard it is for any other institution to knock it off and climb to the top.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is India’s highest-ranked institution this year, placed at 254th in the world. This shows IISc continuing to be the country’s strongest performer on the global stage.
