BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia assures Asia Cup trophies ‘will land up’ at their head office

After the 72-run win against Sri Lanka in the Women’s Asia Cup final in Dubai on Sunday, the Indian team conducted their own medal presentation for the best fielder, with fielding coach Munish Bali handing it out. Saikia and BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla awarded the fielding medal to Nandani Sharma, who took two diving catches in the final. A day later, Saikia also said that it was a “firm institutional decision” to not take the award from Naqvi.
