A biology teacher from Bihar’s Purnia has gone viral on social media after using a cucumber and a condom to explain sex education to his students in a classroom.
The short clip was posted by Chandan Kumar Pandit, who describes himself as “India’s Viral Biology Sir” on Instagram. He has more than 25,000 followers on the platform.
In the video, Chandan used a cucumber as a model to demonstrate how a condom is worn. He also explained how condoms can help prevent sexually transmitted infections and discussed their role in reproductive health and birth control.
In the caption of his post, Chandan said important and sensitive topics such as birth control and reproductive health needed to be explained in a practical and easy-to-understand manner.
He added that education should go beyond textbooks and include real-life learning to help break taboos around such subjects.
The teacher’s practical approach to a sensitive topic drew attention online, with the video garnering close to 20 million views.
