Akash Jagga on Diwali plans and his Bollywood debut: We’re not waiting for our place in cinema, we’re creating it
Akash Jagga, who is making his big-screen debut with Junglywood, is celebrating Diwali with his family in Jaipur after returning home following two to three years.

Akash Jagga, who has been part of several television shows, including Sasural Simar Ka 2, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii, Naagin 6 and Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, is all set to celebrate Diwali with his family in Jaipur. The actor is looking forward to returning home after two to three years and spending time with his loved ones. This Diwali is particularly special as he is also taking a significant step in his career with his big-screen debut in the upcoming film Junglywood. He gets candid about the festival, family and this new chapter in his professional journey.Talking about what Diwali means to him, Akash says, “I think this is that time of the year when you naturally feel like slowing down a little and spending time with your family. No matter how busy life gets, how much work takes you from one city to another or how caught up you get chasing your dreams, festivals like Diwali remind you of where you belong.”Akash reveals that he has returned to Jaipur after almost two to three years, especially to celebrate Diwali with his family and close friends. He says, “I missed spending time with them. Honestly, there’s a different kind of happiness in being back home. The familiar streets, the warmth of your own people, conversations that don’t need a reason, sitting together over meals and laughing over the smallest things: these little moments start feeling more precious as you grow older.”The festival, he believes, is not just about the decorations and celebrations but also about reconnecting with the people who have been part of his journey. Akash says, “I think Diwali is as much about togetherness as it is about lights and celebrations. It’s about making time for the people who have been there through every phase of your life. Because at the end of the day, no matter how far we go or what we achieve, there’s something special about coming back home and feeling that nothing has changed where it matters most.”He adds, “This Diwali, I’m just grateful to be home, surrounded by my people, making memories that I’ll carry with me long after the festivities are over.”This festive season also marks an important milestone in Akash’s professional journey as he makes his big-screen debut with Junglywood. Calling the film a step towards realising a dream, he says, “We’re not waiting for our place in cinema. We’re creating it. Because sometimes, the opportunity you’ve been waiting for is the one you have to create yourself. We may not have come with everything figured out, but we came with a story to tell, a vision to believe in and the courage to take that first step.”For Akash and the team, the film represents more than just an entry into cinema. He concludes, “This is more than just a film for us. It’s a beginning. A reminder that you don’t always need to be invited into a room to make your presence felt. Sometimes, you build your own room. And this is us, beginning to build ours.”
