Jammu : The Indian Institute of Management Jammu concluded the five-day Nurturing Future Leadership Programme (Batch-22), conducted under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme under Ministry of Education, Govt of India, on September 18, 2026. The programme was held from September 14–18, 2026, at the Vedanta MDP Centre, Academic Block, IIM Jammu.
The programme was designed to foster leadership capabilities, encourage reflective learning, and equip participants with perspectives and skills relevant to their professional and academic roles.
The valedictory ceremony commenced with the welcome address by, Dr. Jaganth G., Program Director, followed by reflections from the participants. Presenting the programme report, Dr. Jaganth G., Program Director, highlighted the key components and learning experiences of the five-day programme. He encouraged the participants to carry the learning forward into their future professional endeavours and remain connected with IIM Jammu for upcoming academic and professional development programmes
Sharing their experiences, participants described the programme as an enriching and well-organised learning journey. They highlighted the value of classroom sessions, the practical takeaways, the opportunity to learn collectively, and the sense of camaraderie and brotherhood developed during the five days. Participants also appreciated the Institute’s learning environment and library, noting how the programme encouraged them to reflect on the role of educators in nurturing future leaders.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education & Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu, appreciated the energy and enthusiasm reflected in the participants’ interactions. He emphasised that learning is a continuous process and encouraged the participants to carry forward the knowledge and insights gained during the programme and share them with their colleagues and institutions. Quoting Steve Jobs’ philosophy of continuous learning, he urged the participants to remain curious and keep learning, noting that their students would draw inspiration from them and regard them as role models. He highlighted IIM Jammu’s ongoing engagement with schools and its efforts to give wings to the aspirations of young learners. He also invited the participants to remain connected with the Institute, emphasising that IIM Jammu would continue to be a place they could return to for future learning and professional engagement.
The ceremony also featured the distribution of certificates to the participants, recognising their completion of the five-day programme.
The programme concluded with the National Song and National Anthem. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kapil Gumte, Program Director, IIM Jammu.
The programme reaffirmed IIM Jammu’s commitment to strengthening leadership and capacity-building initiatives for educators and professionals, contributing to the development of institutions and nurturing the next generation of leaders.
